What Stevie can change by email

What Stevie, your AI web developer, can change on your site by email, including how a page looks, who may send a request, and what is asked for as a piece of work instead.

Anything on the pages themselves: the words and the pictures in any part of a page, the news and the documents. Someone with design access can also ask for the menu, the colours, the sections a page is made of, and how the pages look and are laid out: a button or an icon made bigger, more room under the headings, a block in the footer that spreads the full width, something that sits better on a phone, or a small link added to every page. Who can see and change your website says which level of access may ask for which. If you ask for more than your level allows, Stevie makes the rest of the change and says what was left.

So a change is anything you would say in a sentence: new wording, a price, your opening hours, a new photo, a document to download, or “make the phone number in the header easier to see”. Say which page and what should change, and one email can ask for several things. You see every change in a preview, on a computer and on a phone, before anything goes live.

Send photos just as they are, straight from your phone: a large photo is made the right size for the web automatically, so your pages stay quick, and where and on what it was taken is removed first. Asking Stevie for a change says more.

You can also ask Stevie a question, as Asking Stevie for a change says.

Only the people set up for your site, each by their own email address. An email from anyone else is not acted on. Who can see and change your website says how someone is added.

Anything that would run on the page itself, such as a live clock, a chat box or a moving slideshow; the forms themselves; your website’s address and its settings; and a fresh design or a new feature built to order. Stevie says so when a request needs one of these, and makes the rest. Ask, and we quote it as bespoke work.

Your website’s Google Analytics id is not changed by email either: it is set on your dashboard, as Adding Google Analytics to your website says. Nor is the address your forms send to, which is set on your dashboard too, as Choosing who gets your form messages says.
