Rating a change
How was this change? Tell Stevie whether each change was good or bad, with any comments you like, from the email, the approval page or your dashboard, and change it later.
After each piece of work, Stevie asks How was this change?, or How was this answer? when it answered a question. You pick Good, thumbs up, or Bad, thumbs down, and, if you like, add any comments. You can also leave just a comment without picking either. It helps improve Stevie: we see where Stevie gets a change right first time and where it does not, so Stevie gets better at your kind of change.
Where you can rate
Section titled “Where you can rate”- In the email that says your change is live. Tap Good or Bad. It opens a page with your choice already picked, where you can add any comments and press Send. The links in that email work for a month.
- In the email that answers a question. The same two choices, for an answer Stevie gave you.
- On the page after you approve. When you press the approval button, the page that says Approved and publishing has the same two choices and comment box.
- On your dashboard. Open a change that is live or cancelled and scroll to How was this change?: Good or Bad, any additional comments, and Send. When you approve a change there, it stays open and asks straight away. A change still waiting for approval is not asked about until you approve or cancel it. Your website’s dashboard says where.
When you cancel a change
Section titled “When you cancel a change”A change you cancel is the one we most want to hear about, so Stevie asks about it straight away: Why did you cancel this change? on the page after you press Yes, cancel it and in the email that confirms a cancel you asked Stevie for, and Why was this change cancelled? on the change on your dashboard, which stays open after you cancel it there. The box asks What was wrong with it? A sentence is plenty: the wrong page, the wording, how it looked, or that you changed your mind. Cancelling a change says how to cancel.
Changing your mind
Section titled “Changing your mind”Once you have sent a rating, it shows with a thank you and a Change it button. Rate the same change again, from any of those places, and the new rating replaces the old one. Your dashboard shows your latest rating on the change and in its list, and the live and cancelled changes with no rating beside them are under Not yet rated.
Who sees your rating
Section titled “Who sees your rating”You see your own ratings on your own website and can change them. Your website’s Owner sees the ratings everyone on that website has given, by first name, so they can see how Stevie is doing for you. We see them too, and read them with the help of the AI that powers Stevie, so that what you tell us turns into a better Stevie. Nobody outside your business and Stillsite ever sees them, and Stevie itself cannot read them: it only ever sees the change you ask for.
Once three changes have been rated Good or Bad, your website’s Stevie card shows how many of them were Good.
What a rating does not do
Section titled “What a rating does not do”A rating is feedback, not an instruction. Bad does not undo a change, and a comment does not start one. To change something on your website, email Stevie as usual: Asking Stevie for a change. To undo a change that is live, Undoing a change says how.
