Approving a preview
What the approval email shows, how a change goes live when you press the button, and how to change a change before you approve it.
What the approval email shows
Section titled “What the approval email shows”The approval email shows exactly what changed, word for word, and links a preview of your whole site with the change in it.
Making the change live
Section titled “Making the change live”The change goes live only when a named person presses the approval button in that email, usually within a few minutes of the press. Replying “approved” does not publish anything: the button does.
Changing it before you approve
Section titled “Changing it before you approve”Reply to the approval email and say what should be different: you get a new preview with everything in it.
Regulated wording
Section titled “Regulated wording”For a regulated firm, a change to regulated wording is held until the person who signs off regulated wording for your business has said yes.
After it is live
Section titled “After it is live”Every change is kept in the site’s history, so a change can be undone. Undoing a change, and versions says how.
